A superb pair of silver-plated Rococo candelabras by Christofle, France 19th century. Christofle, appointed silversmith to Napoleon III in 1856, became the manufacturer of silver-plated objects in France — their pieces found in the grandest households and institutions of the Belle Époque.
These candelabras, with their ornate floral and scroll decorations in the Rococo manner, represent the manufacture's production for the luxury domestic market. Signed Christofle.
